Revolut and Polygon Launch $690M Crypto Remittance Service in Europe

Revolut has integrated Polygon to offer crypto remittances and stablecoin payments in the UK and EEA, processing over $690 million since December 2024 and expanding its crypto services beyond trading.

Revolut has partnered with Polygon to enable crypto remittances and stablecoin payments for users in the UK and European Economic Area. Through this integration, Revolut customers can send and receive stablecoins USDC, USDT, and POL, Polygon’s native token, via the Revolut app. The feature, launched in December 2024, has already processed over $690 million in transactions, offering near-instant settlement and minimal gas fees. Users can onboard fiat currencies to the Polygon network through Revolut Ramp, and POL is available for trading and staking with yields up to 4% APY. This collaboration marks a significant expansion of Revolut’s crypto offerings, moving beyond trading to real-world money transfers. The partnership is part of a broader strategy to provide efficient, cost-effective, and scalable blockchain payment solutions, reflecting growing demand in the European market. Polygon’s network currently hosts billions in stablecoins and processes millions of transactions monthly, positioning it as a key infrastructure for digital payments. Revolut’s move underscores the increasing adoption of blockchain technology in mainstream financial services.
