Tether and Bitqik launch stablecoin education in Laos

Tether and Bitqik are launching a program to educate 10,000+ people in Laos about Bitcoin and stablecoins, focusing on practical uses and financial inclusion by 2026.

Tether and Bitqik have launched a major initiative to boost financial literacy about Bitcoin and stablecoins in Laos. Their collaboration aims to educate over 10,000 people by 2026 through online content, seminars, and quarterly events in key cities such as Vientiane, Pakse, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang. Bitqik Academy will spearhead the program, focusing on practical uses of stablecoins like USDT for remittances, merchant payments, and savings. This is especially relevant in Laos, where only 60% of adults have access to banking services. The initiative targets students, young workers, business owners, and local communities, offering accessible materials in Lao and hands-on demonstrations. The goal is to foster trust and responsible digital asset use, supporting broader financial inclusion and economic innovation in the country.
