Bybit Pay Launches Crypto Payments in Peru with Yape & Plin

Bybit Pay has integrated with Peru’s top digital wallets, Yape and Plin, enabling millions to make crypto-backed payments. Supported cryptocurrencies are converted to Peruvian sol at checkout, with incentives offered to boost adoption.

Bybit Pay has launched its crypto payment service in Peru by integrating with the country’s leading digital wallets, Yape and Plin, which together serve around 28 million users and process the majority of in-person digital transactions. This integration allows Peruvian users to make cryptocurrency-backed payments using familiar Yape QR codes and Plin phone-number transfers, both online and in-store. Supported cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, and USDC, are automatically converted into Peruvian sol at the point of payment, ensuring merchants receive local currency. Bybit Pay’s rollout aims to facilitate the use of digital assets within Peru’s rapidly growing cashless economy, mirroring successful integrations in other Latin American markets. To encourage adoption, Bybit Pay is offering incentives such as discounts for new users and cashback rewards for existing users on eligible transactions. The company also plans to introduce the Bybit Card in Peru, further expanding digital asset utility for everyday purchases.
