What is Magpie and who created it?

Magpie XYZ is a platform built on the BNB Chain designed to enhance yields for liquidity providers and governance-token/">governance token holders involved in veTokenomics protocols. The veTokenomics model, introduced by Curve, requires users to lock governance tokens into vote-escrowed tokens (veTokens) for a fixed period to increase voting power and claims on governance token emissions. This model aims to control governance token inflation and reward long-term holders.

Magpie XYZ addresses several challenges faced by veTokenomics protocols, such as a limited user base due to the requirement to buy and lock governance tokens, limited income for veToken holders, and expensive voting power acquisition. The platform incentivizes governance token holders and liquidity providers to pool assets, allowing the platform to acquire governance tokens, convert them into veTokens, boost yields for liquidity providers, and share protocol revenues with governance token holders.

Magpie XYZ helps veTokenomics protocols by attracting a diverse user base, enabling risk-averse liquidity providers to gain boosted yields without holding veTokens. It increases income for veToken holders by sharing part of the platform's revenue and lowers the voting bar by providing a cost-effective way to acquire voting rights through a sufficient veToken balance. Initially integrated with Wombat Exchange, Magpie XYZ plans to expand to more veTokenomics protocols like PancakeSwap.
