MoonPay Trade Now in Tangem

We’ve integrated MoonPay Trade, bringing decentralized institutional-grade cross-chain execution directly into the Tangem app.  Users get secure self-custody, intuitive portfolio management, and broad access to the crypto ecosystem. MoonPay has already been live on Tangem since late 2025, powering onramp and offramp functionality across the wallet.

What is MoonPay Trade?

MoonPay Trade is the onchain decentralized execution layer for institutions, enterprises, and applications moving value across blockchains at scale. It connects any application to 200+ chains and protocols through a single API.

Unlike standard bridge or DEX aggregators, MoonPay Trade handles cross-chain routing and settlement automatically. Key features include:

• Unified multi-chain balance visibility. Trade assets across Ethereum, Solana, Base, Hyperliquid, Bitcoin, and more.
   
• 1:1 stablecoin quotes. A proprietary AMM purpose-built for stablecoin trading eliminates slippage on stable-to-stable routes.

How to Trade Cross-Chain with MoonPay Trade in Tangem

Make sure your Tangem app is up to date before you begin.

1. Open the Tangem app.
    
2. Open the token page for the asset you want to trade, for example, USDT, and tap Swap.
    
3. Enter the asset you want to receive. This can be on a different chain; for example, SOL on Solana or ETH on Base.
    
4. Tangem will automatically surface the best available rate. Tap the provider shown to see all available providers and their quotes.
    
5. Select MoonPay Trade from the list of providers.
    
6. MoonPay Trade is a DEX, so you have to grant the protocol approval to use your tokens. Tap Give Permission and enter your access code/biometric ID.
    
7. Tap Approve to grant permission for the transaction. Under Network Fee, choose between Market (standard speed) or Fast (higher fee, faster confirmation).
    
8. Review the quote and tap Swap. Enter your access code or use biometric ID.
    
9. Scan your Tangem card or ring to sign and approve the transaction. Or tap and hold the approve button for mobile wallet users.
    
10. Track the trade status directly on the token page. Your wallet balance will update once the settlement is complete.

Cross-chain trades are routed and settled automatically by MoonPay Trade. You do not need to manually manage bridges, wrapped assets, or gas on the destination chain.

Which chains does MoonPay Trade support?

Do I need to manage bridges or gas on the destination chain?

No. MoonPay Trade handles cross-chain routing and settlement end to end. You select what you want to send and what you want to receive. The rest happens in the background.

Does MoonPay Trade hold my funds at any point?

No. Tangem is a non-custodial wallet. Your private keys never leave your card or ring. MoonPay Trade acts as the execution and routing layer, but custody of your assets remains with you throughout.

Are stablecoin trades free of slippage?

MoonPay Trade uses a proprietary AMM built specifically for stablecoin routes, offering 1:1 quotes on stable-to-stable trades. You will still pay network gas fees, but there is no price impact on the trade itself.

Can I still use other tradeproviders like Changelly or SimpleSwap?

Yes. MoonPay Trade is an additional provider in Tangem. Changelly, SimpleSwap, OKX DEX, and other existing providers remain available. Tangem Express automatically surfaces the best rate across all connected providers for each trade.
