We're ten days into Q4 and firing on all cylinders to bring you more wonderful features before the year ends. Our mission here is to improve the Tangem experience and expand our offerings. So, what do we have in store for Q4? Let's find out together.

Staking 

We're expanding the wallet's staking capabilities to include 7 new networks. Staking allows you to participate in network validation and earn rewards on your cryptocurrency holdings. Currently, we support native staking on Tron, Cosmos, and Solana, but will add these networks: Polkadot, Polygon, Cardano, Binance smartchain, Ton, Cronos, and NEAR.

This expansion significantly broadens the staking options available to Tangem users across various blockchain ecosystems.
 

Tangem Markets

The Tangem Markets feature is set to receive significant enhancements to provide users with deeper insights and more informed decision-making tools.

One key addition will be the Security Score, a new rating system that evaluates the reliability of various cryptocurrencies. This score will be based on multiple factors, such as the project's history, development activity, market reputation, etc. We're aiming to help you make safer investment choices.

Another enhancement is the Available Exchanges feature, which will list crypto exchanges where each cryptocurrency is traded. This can help you estimate a particular asset's liquidity and give you options for buying, selling, or trading your coins.

The Newsfeed integration is another vital addition, offering a continuous stream of the latest news and updates about cryptocurrencies. This real-time information is invaluable for staying current and making timely decisions in a fast-moving market.
 

WalletConnect 

The WalletConnect feature in Tangem is being improved for better security and usability, making it a more powerful tool for Web3 applications.

• Redesigned user experience
  We will redesign the user interface for a more intuitive experience. Expect simplified navigation, making connecting to decentralized applications (dApps) and managing their transactions easier.

• Enhanced phishing protection
  Security remains a top priority, and we're rolling out advanced phishing protection to safeguard users against deceptive Web3 sites. These enhanced measures help detect suspicious activities and stop you from falling victim to phishing attacks.

• Support for Non-EVM Networks
  Tangem will now expand support to include Non-EVM networks. Users can interact with a broader range of blockchains, including networks like Solana, without switching wallets.

• Transaction simulation
  This highly anticipated feature allows you to preview transactions before signing them. This reduces the risk of mistakes or unexpected outcomes by showing you exactly what will happen after the transaction is processed.

These improvements will make the WalletConnect feature more user-friendly and significantly enhance security.
 

Transaction history

The transaction history in the Tangem Wallet is being revamped to improve user experience and make tracking crypto transactions easier.

• New layout
  The new UI will make viewing your transaction history easier without the clutter or complexity often found in crypto wallet interfaces.

• Additional visual information
  We'll add more graphical elements to represent different types of transactions. For example, sending, receiving, staking, and other operations will be visually distinguishable to make the entire experience more intuitive and user-friendly.

• Common transaction types
  The system automatically sorts transactions into categories such as payments, staking rewards, or transfers. This means you won't have to spend time identifying individual transactions, giving you a clearer picture of your crypto activities.

• Deeper integration with Tangem Express
  The transaction history will now connect with Tangem Express, a fast transaction service. Any quick swaps or fast transactions you make through Tangem Express will be added to the history. These transactions will be marked and easily identifiable.

Tangem is updating the wallet to make transaction tracking more user-friendly and efficient.

Native NFT Support

We hope you haven't sold off all your NFTs because Tangem will support Non-Fungible Tokens. This new feature will allow you to manage and interact with your NFT collections on select blockchain networks, eliminating the need for third-party apps. With our focus on security, you can be confident that your NFTs will be stored with the same high level of protection as other assets.
 

Quick actions

Quick Action buttons provide a streamlined interface for performing key transactions directly from the app's main screen. By offering direct access to everyday actions such as buy, swap, and sell, we want to simplify and speed up the user experience. This feature saves time and reduces friction by minimizing navigation.
 

New networks

Tangem will support 8 new networks, making the wallet compatible with additional blockchain platforms. This addition allows users to manage assets across a wider range of blockchain ecosystems.

New networks include:

• SUI: A Layer-1 blockchain known for its scalability and high throughput. It uses the Move programming language, making it developer-friendly for decentralized applications (dApps).
• Casper: A Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain designed for enterprise adoption. Casper focuses on energy efficiency and aims to scale smart contracts for enterprise solutions.
• Energy Web: A blockchain optimized for energy sector applications. It's built to facilitate decentralized solutions in energy markets, such as energy trading.
• Fact0rn: A blockchain network focused on providing decentralized storage and computation, emphasizing data integrity and verifiability.
• Core DAO EVM: Core DAO is a decentralized organization focused on blockchain research and development, particularly with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility for better scalability and usability.
• Chiliz EVM: Chiliz is a blockchain network designed for the sports and entertainment industry. It supports fan tokens and other fan engagement solutions.
• Alephium: A high-performance, decentralized platform that uses sharding technology to achieve scalability, aiming to improve blockchain efficiency.
• KRC20: A token protocol similar to ERC20, operating based on preset rules to ensure compatibility and interoperability among various applications in the KASPA network.

By integrating these networks, we will ensure you can manage assets across more diverse ecosystems.
 

Push notifications

The new push notification feature will inform you about important account events. We will keep you up-to-date on critical wallet activities without you constantly monitoring them.

• Incoming transactions: You will be alerted when you receive funds in your wallet.
• Completion of transactions: After buying, selling, or swapping cryptocurrencies, you will be notified of successful completion.
• All operations in the Tangem app: Any other operations—staking, withdrawals, or confirmations—will also trigger notifications.

Push notifications will give users full visibility of their account's status and ongoing transactions.
 

Tangem Express

Tangem will expand the Tangem Express service with new on-ramp providers and an additional swap provider. We will offer you more options for fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto transactions.

Integrating Mercuryo, Simplex, and Paybis will expand the range of services available to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat.

SimpleSwap will be integrated as a new provider for cryptocurrency swaps. This service enables fast, easy exchanges between cryptocurrencies without requiring a registration process, offering you a smoother user experience.

OKX exchange is coming soon to Tangem Express. This is significant addition will elevate user experience to new heights.

Tangem Express will also welcome new onramp/offramp platforms to help you convert crypto to fiat and vice versa more profitably.

New app features

• Multi-account support. With this feature, users can manage multiple accounts within a single wallet interface. You'll be able to separate personal and business finances or organizing various cryptocurrency holdings.
   
• Market data is on its way to the Tangem app, offering users a comprehensive view of the crypto market. Live price charts and market data will be at your fingertips, making it easier to stay informed.
   
• Push notifications will enhance the user experience in the Tangem app, providing timely updates and alerts directly. Stay informed about important wallet activities, security notifications, and latest product features.
   
• 24-word seed phrase generation and passphrase are coming to the Tangem Wallet. We still recommend going the seedless way, but your wallet; your choice.
   
• New Manage token and Send page UI. We'll provide more details for each token and "send" transaction to make your transaction smoother.
   
• New languages to improve accessibility and usability for our broader global audience are part of the roadmap.

Staking

Introducing staking will be a significant evolution of the Tangem Wallet. Our users will be able to directly participate in blockchain networks and earn rewards for securing and validating transactions.

With staking, Tangem users can now engage directly with their favorite cryptocurrencies, contributing to network security and decentralization while earning passive income.

Tangem Ring

The Tangem Ring is the most exciting product we've revealed so far. Functioning as a classy piece of jewelry and a reliable cold wallet device, this crypto ring shares the same features as the Tangem card, including an NFC antenna and the CC EAL6+ Tangem chip.

The Tangem ring has already begun testing, and full production is expected soon. We will send some rings out to some media personalities and prepare an amazing marketing campaign — Tangem users can look forward to that. Sales of the Tangem ring will begin in September 2024.

Tangem Pay

Production and testing of Tangem Pay is expected to start in June 2024. Tangem Pay is a payment system powered by VISA, which allows you to spend your crypto anywhere in the world from the safety of your cold wallet. This will make Tangem Wallet the world's first self-custodial payment solution.

More to come...

An upcoming update will allow the Tangem app to prove that Riscure audited your Tangem card's firmware. This trendsetting feature is the first of its kind in the hardware wallet space.

Improving logistics & production

Tangem plans to drastically improve logistics, production, and system efficiency. We will expand our footprint with new fulfillment and manufacturing centers in France, the USA, the UAE, and Indonesia. This way, delivery times would be considerably reduced, and our customers would be happier with their shopping experience.
