  • Where can I view my transaction history?

    Currently, the transaction history in the app is available for the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Avalanche C-Chain, BNB Smart Chain, Dash, Dogecoin, Ethereum Classic, Ethereum PoW, Litecoin, and Tron blockchains.

    Transaction history can be viewed in the blockchain explorer and is also used for other blockchains. Here’s how to do this:
    1. Open the Tangem app.
    2. Click on the coin/token you are interested in.
    3. Scroll down and tap Explore transaction history. You will be redirected to the blockchain explorer.

  • How do I transfer cryptocurrency from an exchange/wallet to Tangem?

    You can transfer cryptocurrencies supported by the Tangem app to your wallet address. To do this, you'll need to generate a recipient address in the Tangem app.

    Here's what you need to do:

    1. Open the Tangem app and go to the homepage.
    2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
    3. Select the desired wallet.
    4. Go to the "Manage tokens" section.
    5. Find the cryptocurrency using the search bar.
    6. You will see a toggle button to the right of the cryptocurrency. Tap on it, and the list of available networks will appear.
    7. Turn on the toggle of the network you want and tap the "Save". You may need to scan your Tangem Wallet again.

    Important! Ensure that the sender and recipient networks match when performing a transfer. Many tokens function simultaneously on different networks. If the transfer is made through a different network than the sender's network, the coins may be lost and cannot be recovered.

    8. Once the token has been added to the homepage, tap on it, click "Receive", and you'll see the public address below the "Copy" button.

    Note that the network you select for the token in step 7 must match the transfer network you choose on the exchange.


  • How do I choose the correct network for transferring funds to Tangem Wallet?

    Only cryptocurrencies supported by the Tangem app can be transferred into your wallet. To see the complete list of supported cryptocurrencies, go to the "Manage tokens" section of the Tangem app.

    Here’s what to do:
    1. Open the Tangem app.
    2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
    3. Select the preferred wallet.
    4. Go to the "Manage tokens" section. You can find the cryptocurrency you want by using the search bar in the list of tokens.
    5. Tap on the arrow next to the name of the cryptocurrency to see a list of available networks for the chosen token. You can use any of the listed networks.

    When making a transfer, you must ensure that the sender and recipient networks match, as many tokens operate on different networks simultaneously. If the transfer is made through a network other than the one the recipient specified when generating the address, the coins may be lost and cannot be recovered.

  • How do I transfer cryptocurrency, if the wallet doesn’t support the required network?

    If you can't find the token you need in the tokens list in the "Manage tokens" section, you can add a custom token to the wallet yourself.

    This feature is available for the following networks: Arbitrum, Areon, Aurora, Avalanche C-Chain, BNB Beacon Chain, BNB Smart Chain, Base, Blast, Canxium, Casper, Cardano, Cronos, Cyber, Decimal Smart Chain, DisChain (Ethereum Fair), Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Ethereum PoW, Fantom Opera, Flare, Gnosis Chain, Hedera, Kava EVM, Manta Pacific, Mantle, Moonbeam, Moonriver, OctaSpace, Optimistic Ethereum, PLAYA3ULL GAMES, Polygon, Polygon zkEVM, PulseChain, RSK, Shibarium, Solana, Telos, Tron, VeChain, XDC Network, zkSync Era.

    If the required network/token is not in the "Manage tokens" section or in the above list, then this token/network is not yet supported by the wallet, and it cannot be transferred to wallets.


    To create a custom token, do this:
    1. Open the Tangem app.
    2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
    3. Select the preferred wallet.
    4. Go to the Manage tokens section.
    5. Tap the “+” icon in the upper right corner of the list of tokens.

    To add a token, you need the following inputs:
    1. The token's smart contract address. The address can usually be found on coinmarketcap.com or in the explorer (browser) of the corresponding blockchain.
    2. The network where you want to add the token. 
    3. The token name (for example, Bitcoin) and token symbol (for example, BTC).
    4. Decimals determine the value into which one token can be split for transactions. This value can be found in the token overview in the explorer of the corresponding blockchain.
    5. BIP44 coin type. For this operation, "Default" is usually selected.

    For example, to add the BinaryX (BNX) token on the BNB Smart Chain network, you need to fill in the fields as follows:
    1. Contract address: 0x8C851d1a123Ff703BD1f9dabe631b69902Df5f97 You can see this contract address in the “Contracts” section via the link.
    2. Network: BNB Smart Chain.
    3. Token name: BinaryX.
    4. Token symbol: BNX.
    5. Decimals: 18. You can see the number of decimal places in the token card in the explorer.
    6. BIP44 derivation: Default.

  • What do I do if I transferred XRP to Tangem Wallet, but the amount of XRP I received was 10 less than expected? What if I transferred XLM to Tangem Wallet, but received 1 less XLM than I should have?

    The XRPL and Stellar blockchains use the concept of accounts. To open an account on XRPL you need to deposit at least 10 XRP, while the minimum on Stellar is 1 XLM. When you open an account, these funds are reserved and remain unavailable for withdrawal. For example, if you deposit 30 XRP, 10 XRP will be reserved for creating an account, and the balance will show 20 XRP available to spend.

  • What does "Account is not created" mean in the XRPL/Stellar wallet?

    The XRPL and Stellar blockchains use the concept of accounts. To open an account on XRPL you need to deposit at least 10 XRP, while the minimum on Stellar is 1 XLM. When you open an account, these funds are reserved and remain unavailable for withdrawal. For example, if you deposit 30 XRP, 10 XRP will be reserved for creating an account, and the balance will show 20 XRP available to spend.

  • What Tag/Memo should I specify when transferring tokens to Tangem Wallet?

    Destination tag/Memo/Message is an additional address value in numeric and/or string form. It allows identifying the recipient of an XRP/XLM/ATOM/TON/LUNA/LUNC/ICP transfer on a centralized exchange (e.g., Binance, Coinbase).

    You do not need to specify a destination tag when sending XRP/XLM/ATOM/TON/LUNA/LUNC/ICP coins from an exchange to Tangem Wallet. Since you are the one in control of this address, the coins will automatically appear in your Tangem Wallet.

    That said, some exchanges still offer to specify a tag when withdrawing coins. In this case, you can specify any value of the tag — for example, any number or digit. None of these numbers are needed to get your coins.

  • Why am I credited in WETH when withdrawing ETH from an exchange?

    WETH (Wrapped Ethereum) is ETH stored outside its native network. If you send ETH on any network other than Ethereum, the tokens will arrive as WETH in Tangem Wallet.

  • How do I find out my wallet address?

    To get your wallet address, open the Tangem app, select the token from the wallet homepage, and tap Receive.

    If the token is not on your wallet’s homepage, follow these steps in the Tangem app:
    1. Open the app and log in to your wallet.
    2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
    3. Select the desired wallet.
    4. Go to the "Manage tokens" section.
    5. Use the search bar to find the cryptocurrency you need.
    6. You'll see a toggle button next to the cryptocurrency name. Click it to see a list of available networks.
    7. Turn on the network you require and tap "Save". You might need to scan your wallet at this point.
    8. Once the token is added to the main page, click on it, select "Receive", and you will see the public address and a Copy button.

    Important! When transferring crypto, ensure that the sender and recipient networks match each other. Many tokens operate on different networks simultaneously.

    If a transfer is made using a different network than the recipient specified when generating the address, the coins may be lost and cannot be recovered.

  • Does the wallet address stay the same for the entire time it’s used? Can I create multiple addresses for one token?

    All cryptocurrency wallet addresses remain unchanged. Public and private keys are changed only when you reset the card to factory settings and create a new wallet.

  • Why are the addresses of different tokens the same?

    Token addresses on the same network and addresses on all EVM-compliant blockchains are the same in order to facilitate the convenient transfer of funds.

  • What is the fee for transferring funds?

    Tangem does not charge any fees when transferring funds. Only a network commission is paid.

    This is a transaction fee that is paid to miners or validators. The fees vary depending on the network you use. For example, a Bitcoin transaction will have a different fee in comparison to transactions placed on the Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum or Litecoin networks. Fees can fluctuate depending on market demand and network capacity.

  • How do I choose a network fee?

    When sending crypto assets, the network fees you offer determine your priority in the queue of pending transactions. Miners will prioritize transactions that offer high fees. Choose high fees if you require fast confirmation or lower fees if you can wait a while to save on fees.
    Tangem offers three fee levels depending on the current network load: low, normal, and priority.

  • How do I find out the network fee for a token transaction?

    The size of the fee is displayed in the token sending window. Enter the destination address and transfer amount, and you will see the network fee.

  • Why is the "Send" button inactive?

    If the "Send" button is disabled, it means that you do not have enough funds to cover the network fee. Please note that fees are charged in the network's native coin, not the specific token you are transferring. For instance, for BNB Smart Chain tokens (BEP-20), the fee is charged in BNB, and for TRON tokens, the fee is charged in TRX, and so on.

  • What does rent on the Solana network mean?

    This is the type of commission used on the Solana blockchain. The Solana network charges a rent of 0.000002439 SOL every two days. Accounts that can't afford the rent are purged from the network. Deposit more than 0.00089088 SOL to your account to use it for free.

  • How do I buy cryptocurrency? How do I top up my Tangem Wallet using a bank card?

    The Tangem app allows you to buy cryptocurrency directly with your bank card via the integrated Mercuryo service.

    To do this, you should open the Tangem app and log into the wallet. Then, on the main screen, choose the required cryptocurrency and tap the "Buy" button.   • Why is the "Buy" button inactive on some tokens?

    Buying cryptocurrencies in the Tangem app is carried out through the Mercuryo partner service. The cryptocurrencies available for purchase through the service are listed on the Mercuryo website via the link.

  • What is the fee when buying cryptocurrency using a bank card?

  • What do I do if I can't send a transaction?

    If you face an error when sending cryptocurrency from Tangem Wallet, please send a request in the Tangem app in the "Can't send transaction" window by tapping on the "Contact support" button.

  • How do I send cryptocurrency from Tangem Wallet?

    You can send cryptocurrency from your wallet in the Tangem app to a recipient address of your choice.
    To do this:
    1. Open the Tangem app by scanning your card and entering your access code.
    2. Select the cryptocurrency you want to send on the main screen.
    3. Tap the "Send" button.
    4. In the sending window, specify the recipient's address. Be sure to verify the copied and pasted addresses.
    5. Next, specify the amount to send or its counter value. You can tap the "Maximum amount" button to empty the address.
    6. You can change the fee level in the "Network fee" field. The default setting is "Normal".
    7. Verify all the inputs before you press the "Send" button.
    8. To sign the transaction, scan the card, enter the access code and scan the card again.
    After that, the transaction will be successfully signed and sent to the blockchain. The balance will be updated after some time.
    You can track the status of the transaction through the Explorer feature. To do this, go to the wallet overview in the Tangem app by tapping on the required cryptocurrency on the main screen and select "Transaction history".

  • How do I sell cryptocurrency? Can I withdraw money from Tangem to my bank card?

    The Tangem app allows you to sell cryptocurrency directly to your bank card through the integrated MoonPay service.

    To do this, you need to open the Tangem app and log into the wallet. Then, on the main screen, choose the required cryptocurrency and tap "Sell".   • What is the difference between "legacy" and "default" addresses?

    There are two types of wallet address: SegWit and Legacy. In the Tangem app, SegWit is displayed as "default", and Legacy as "legacy".

    Using a SegWit address reduces fees by 30–40%, and the transaction processing speed is faster than with Legacy. We offer two types of addresses because not all exchanges support SegWit addresses.

    You can transfer funds using either of these addresses.

  • How long does it take to process a transaction?

    Transaction processing time depends not on the wallet but on the blockchain (network) where the transaction is being conducted. The speed of processing transactions is affected by the load on the given network.
