What is the "Crypto" tab in Market?
The Crypto tab in Market lets you track the cryptocurrency market, discover tokens, and view detailed information about individual assets.
The tab includes:
- Total market cap — the combined market value of cryptocurrencies, shown with its percentage change.
- Fear & Greed and Altcoin Index — indicators of market sentiment and altcoin performance.
- Market Pulse — browse cryptocurrencies and filter them by category and period. Explore thematic categories to find tokens related to your interests.
What is the Fear & Greed Index?
The Fear & Greed Index measures sentiment in the cryptocurrency market on a scale from 0 to 100. It combines price and trading data for popular cryptocurrencies with CoinMarketCap user behaviour data.
Lower values indicate fear, while higher values indicate greed. In Tangem, the score is accompanied by a sentiment label:
| Score | Label |
|---|---|
| 0–16 | Extreme Fear |
| 17–33 | Fearful |
| 34–49 | Cautious |
| 50–66 | Optimistic |
| 67–83 | Greedy |
| 84–100 | Extreme Greed |

What is the Altcoin Index?
The Altcoin Index compares altcoin performance with Bitcoin over a rolling 90-day period. It uses CoinMarketCap’s top 100 coins, excluding stablecoins and wrapped tokens.
The score reflects the share of those coins that have outperformed Bitcoin and is updated daily. A higher score means more altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin; a lower score means fewer have.
Tangem displays the following labels:
| Score | Label |
|---|---|
| 0–16 | Bitcoin Dominance |
| 17–33 | Bitcoin Strength |
| 34–49 | Balanced Market |
| 50–66 | Altcoin Growth |
| 67–83 | Altcoin Season |
| 84–100 | Altcoin Euphoria |

What is Market Pulse?
Market Pulse helps you explore cryptocurrency rankings within the Crypto tab.
Choose a list:
- Market cap — cryptocurrencies ranked by market capitalization.
- Gainers — cryptocurrencies with the largest price increases over the selected period.
- Losers — cryptocurrencies with the largest price decreases over the selected period.
- Experienced buyers — cryptocurrencies purchased by experienced investors.
- Trending — cryptocurrencies that are currently gaining traction.
Use Categories to browse tokens by topics that interest you, such as quantum-resistant cryptocurrencies or tokens in World Liberty Financial’s (WLFI) portfolio. Use the period selector to change the time frame.
Each cryptocurrency row shows its name and ticker, market rank and capitalization, current price, percentage price change, and a small price chart.
Regardless of the sorting method, the cryptocurrency's rank, current price, and market capitalization are displayed beneath its name. Changing the time period (24 hours, week, or month) affects the price growth or decline percentage and the chart.
