Anthropic Q3 revenue surges, IPO optimism remains
Anthropic Q3 revenue surged 45–46% to $16.8B. Despite slower growth, investors remain optimistic for a $200B IPO.
Anthropic, the developer behind the Claude AI model, announced Q3 revenue of $16.8 billion, marking a 45–46% increase from the previous quarter. The company reported adjusted profitability, positive free cash flow, a gross margin of 85%, and an operating margin exceeding 11%. However, analysts noted that growth has slowed compared to the previous surge from $4.7 billion in Q1 to $11.6 billion in Q2. Despite this, investors remain optimistic about Anthropic’s financial health and strategic position ahead of its anticipated IPO in November, with market valuations expected between $180–200 billion. Anthropic also highlighted operational efficiency, generating $1.70 in revenue per $1 of computing power. Still, some caution that intensified competition and slower growth could impact future valuations. The company continues to emphasize its commitment to safe AI development and the use of AI in chip design and operations.
