APWine tokenizes future yield using two types of tokens: Future Yield Tokens (FYT) and APWINE IBT. FYTs are ERC20 tokens representing the future yield generated by an asset on a platform for a defined period. For instance, a 30D-AAVE-ADAI-0 token represents the yield generated by 1 ADAI on AAVE during the first 30 days. APWine also features a dedicated exchange for users to buy and sell FYTs.
APWINE IBT is another ERC20 token that acts as the interest-bearing token within the APWine protocol. Holders of APWINE IBT can withdraw the corresponding deposited funds from the protocol at any time. They will receive an amount of FYT proportional to the amount they hold, corresponding to the future period of the IBT.
How it works
The APWine protocol operates by allowing users to deposit their interest-bearing tokens into the platform. These deposits are then tokenized into FYTs, which can be traded on the APWine exchange. This process enables users to speculate on future yield and manage their yield exposure more effectively.
