Where to Start

Welcome to Tangem Wallet. This guide will help you get up and running in a few simple steps.

What you need before you begin

• Your Tangem device (card or ring)
• A smartphone with NFC support running iOS 15.0+ or Android 6.0+
• The Tangem app installed from the App Store or Google Play

Step 1: Set up your wallet

The first step is to activate your Tangem device and create a wallet.

If you have a hardware wallet (card or ring): Follow the on-screen instructions after scanning your device for the first time. The setup takes about two minutes.

If you want to start with a mobile wallet: You can create a wallet directly in the app without a physical device. → How to Create a Mobile Wallet

Step 2: Back up your Mobile Wallet

This step applies to Mobile Wallet users only. Hardware Wallet users complete backup during setup.

After creating a Mobile Wallet, back it up immediately — before adding any funds. Your seed phrase is the only way to recover access if you lose your phone.  → How to Back Up a Mobile Wallet

Step 3: Add tokens

Once your wallet is set up, add the cryptocurrencies you want to store or use. → How to Add a Token

Step 4: Receive your first crypto
