Uniwhale is a decentralized on-chain perpetual trading exchange that was founded in 2022 by a team of experts in crypto, finance, and web technologies. The platform allows users to trade various mainstream crypto assets, such as BTC and ETH, with leverage up to 200x directly from their wallets. Uniwhale aims to provide high leverage perpetual trading without credit risk, lower risk of liquidation, and zero price impact.
Main features
Uniwhale offers some of the highest leverage available in the market, up to 200x on crypto assets. The platform uses Pyth, an oracle with lower latency compared to others, making it more suitable for leverage trading. The liquidity pool is anchored to USDT, but users can provide liquidity or post margins in other stablecoins like USDC and BUSD. Since its mainnet launch on March 6, 2023, Uniwhale has facilitated over $30 million in trading volume, generating nearly $30,000 in trading fees from more than 2,400 trades by 171 unique traders.
How it works
Uniwhale launched its testnet on the BNB Smart Chain on January 3, 2023, followed by the mainnet launch on March 6, 2023. The platform currently offers six trading pairs: ETH/USD, BTC/USD, BNB/USD, MATIC/USD, SOL/USD, and APT/USD. The UNW token is tradeable and transferrable, allowing holders to stake it for value distribution and token emission participation. However, UNW is not a governance token; holders must convert it into esUNW to participate in governance. The platform's roadmap includes integrating automated trading strategies, aggregating other oracle providers, launching a mobile app, and expanding into networks like Arbitrum, Polygon, and Avalanche.
