Africa has always lagged in technological innovation, often reduced to being consumers of end products. Nzvedaz Big Five Project aims to change this narrative by bringing the benefits of blockchain to Africa. The project is building Africa’s first NFT Marketplace, introducing African artists to NFT technology that ensures issues such as ownership and royalties are guaranteed through smart contracts. This opens a wider market beyond the limited tourist traffic.

Main features

The Big Five Token (BFT) is a deflationary currency with a total supply of 97 billion tokens. The project commits to burning 1% of the total supply each month, aiming to reduce the token supply by 8% by the end of the calendar year and 25% by the end of year two. BFT will be the native currency used in the ecosystem, including listing NFTs on the marketplace, paying final value fees, interacting in the African metaverse, and in Play to Earn games. As adoption by businesses expands, it will become the transactional digital currency powering web-3 based commerce.

How it works

An early investor who buys and holds $BFT stands to gain as the value of BFT increases with each use-case. Every planned project will create buying pressure on BFT, offering early investors and adopters an opportunity to realize gains over their BFT holdings. As widespread adoption kicks in, the value is expected to soar. There are plans to expand its uses to solve issues such as expensive insurance by introducing fractional ownership.
