This token serves as the internal currency of the DOGAMÍ metaverse and is used for purchasing add-ons, upgrading and customizing DOGAMÍ, trading items within the game, buying new dogs, and interacting with other players. Additionally, $DOGA functions as a governance and staking token, giving holders the ability to influence the game's future and empowering them through decentralized finance (DeFi).

How it works

Each dog in DOGAMÍ has specific attributes that evolve through different stages. Players can compete in real-time competitions and events, with the potential to earn more by raising their dogs well. As players train their dogs from puppies to best friends, each action they choose earns them $DOGA. Furthermore, $DOGA is required for breeding new DOGAMÍ, which can be kept or sold to new owners on secondary marketplaces.

DOGAMÍ was created in mid-2021 by four co-founders and has a team of 20 full-time employees, many of whom have extensive experience in game development. The company was listed as one of 15 gaming startups to watch in Europe by Sifted and was early advised by The Sandbox Co-founder Sebastien Borget. DOGAMÍ successfully raised 6 million dollars through world-famous investors such as Ubisoft, Animoca Brands, and XAnge Ventures. Their first NFT drop of 8000 dog avatars sold out in just a few hours, propelling them to the #1 place in terms of volume traded on the major Tezos NFT platform 'Objkt'.
