    Tangem Wallet is a highly secure and reliable hardware wallet in the world. It allows you to interact with thousands of cryptocurrencies simultaneously and has access to hundreds of decentralized platforms offering buying, selling, exchanging, staking and lending services.

    The card is the key to your wallet, and all you need to do to use your funds is tap the card to your phone.

    Tangem Wallet comes as a set of 2 or 3 cards, providing a backup option. When activating you card, you can back up the key to the other card(s), which will help you manage your money even if you lose one of the cards. Enabling an access code will prevent your funds from being transferred by an attacker in case of loss or theft.

  • What is Tangem Note?

    Tangem Note is the simplest single-currency hardware wallet for your six beloved cryptos: BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA and DOGE.

    Tangem Note allows you to buy, store, sell and transfer cryptocurrencies on its native network in just a few taps. You can hand over your Tangem Note with the required amount in exchange for goods or just as a gift, like a regular paper banknote. If you want to invite your family or friends to the world of crypto, Tangem Note is the perfect choice.

    No one except the owner has access to the wallet. The card generates a unique key when activated in the Tangem app by the user. The key always remains on the card and cannot be accessed by anybody, even Tangem.

    Our cards can sign an infinite number of transactions. You only need an NFC-enabled smartphone, the Tangem app, and your Tangem Note.

    Zirconia can exhibit a hardness up to four times that of stainless steel, making it significantly more resilient to everyday wear and tear, especially in resisting scratches.

  • What can I do with Tangem Wallet?

    Tangem Wallet allows you to:
    — check the validity of the card and the assets stored on it;
    — display an asset's blockchain address;
    — extract (send) funds to other Tangem cards or blockchain wallets;
    — make payments using the card (with merchants currently accepting crypto).

  • Can I pay with my Tangem card at physical stores?

    Tangem cards don’t function as a payments system like Visa or Mastercard. If a seller supports cryptocurrency transfers, you will be able to transfer funds to their address and pay for your goods or services. Using a Tangem card like a bank card is not supported yet.

  • What makes Tangem cards different from other cold wallets?

    Simplicity and reliability are the main advantages of the Tangem wallet, which can always be with you wherever you are. Tangem doesn't need to be charged or connected to other devices via wires.

    Tangem cards fit conveniently into the wallet and allow you to sign your transactions anywhere. Using the Tangem Wallet is as simple as possible: tap the card against your smartphone to access your cryptocurrencies.

    The Tangem Wallet is highly secure, as evidenced by its Common Criteria EAL6+ chip certification and two firmware audits from Kudelski Security (2018) and Riscure (2023).

    It is the only hardware wallet in the world with an IP68 environmental protection rating.

    While other hardware wallets are designed for geeks and created by geeks, we've combined ease of use and maximum security to make the Tangem Wallet accessible to everyone.

  • What are the iOS/Android technical requirements to use Tangem cards?

    You can use any mobile device with an Android operating system higher than 6.0 or iOS 14.5 and higher with full NFC support, except iPhone 6/6s and iPhone SE (1st generation).

    Please note that iPhone 7/7 Plus and some Android models do not have full NFC support, which means you cannot transfer the required amount of information during activation. In this case, making a backup of a private key on your phone is not available. You can, however, use any other phone (iPhone 8 and up or Android 6.0+ with full NFC support) to create a backup and then continue using your device.

    On devices with custom firmware installed (not modified by the manufacturer), the correct operation of the app is not guaranteed.

  • Is it possible to use the wallet with a PC or tablet?

    No, as tablets and PCs do not have an NFC module.
    You can use any NFC-enabled Android or iOS mobile device except the iPhone 6/6s and iPhone SE (1st generation).

  • Why can't I download the Tangem app from Google Play?

    Most likely, your Android device does not have full NFC support, so the app cannot be downloaded from the marketplace. In this case, you should use any other device (iPhone 8 and up or any Android 6.0+ with full NFC support).

  • Where can I download an APK file for Android?

    You can download the APK file from GitHub and install it on your phone by following the link.

  • How many times can I use my Tangem card?

    Tangem cards are fully reusable. There is no limit to the number of transactions you can make or how often you can carry out loading/extraction operations.

  • How much can I store on my Tangem card?

    Tangem cards are not limited. You can store as many funds on your Tangem card as you want.

  • What's the difference between a 2-card set and a 3-card set?

    The only variable is the number of cards. Additional cards are needed to create a backup. The number of cards in your set (2 or 3) is the number of copies of your private key that exist in the world. If one of the cards is lost or stolen, the backup cards will help you restore access to your wallet.

  • Can I use all three cards for different wallets?

    You can use all three cards as three separate wallets with Tangem Wallet 1.0, while with Tangem Wallet 2.0 it is mandatory to create a backup with the second card.

    Please keep in mind, however, that if you lose one of the cards without a backup, you will lose access to that wallet. We therefore recommend that you create backup copies on additional cards. This way, if one of the cards is lost or stolen, the backup cards will help restore access to your wallet, and the access code will help prevent attackers from transferring your funds.

  • Can I use one wallet on multiple devices?

    Yes, you can use the wallet simultaneously on unlimited devices. The phone itself doesn't store any assets you hold; it simply acts as a display by visualizing specific data for a particular user on screen. The storage of private keys and signing of transactions is done by your card.

  • What are the differences between Tangem Note and Tangem Wallet?

    The main differences between Tangem Wallet and Tangem Note:

    1. Supported cryptocurrencies. Tangem Note is a single-currency wallet that is designed to store a single cryptocurrency. Tangem Wallet, on the other hand, is a multi-currency wallet and supports thousands of different cryptocurrencies.

    2. Backup. Tangem Note is a single physical card, so it has no backup feature and no access code protection. Tangem Wallet, unlike Tangem Note, is sold in a set of 2 or 3 cards. When you activate the cards, you can back up the keys on additional cards.

  • Can I create a backup for Tangem Note?

    Tangem Note is a single card, so it has no backup function or access code protection.
    Tangem Note is a good choice for cryptocurrency beginners, and works well as a gift or method for handing over crypto in person.

  • Where is the company registered?

    Tangem is registered in Zug, Switzerland.

  • When did the first cards appear on the market?

    In 2017–2021, Tangem mostly worked on the B2B market (for example, we supply cards for Xumm, a popular XRP Ledger wallet). Tangem moved to the B2C market under the same brand at the end of 2021, and that's when Tangem Wallet appeared.

  • What is the difference between the card series?

    ACxx is just a production batch. Tangem produces the cards in batches, and as soon as it runs out of stock, it produces more. There are no functionality differences between batches, meaning that they are identical and there is no cause for concern.
