What is Wrapped LYX (WLYX)?

Wrapped LYX (WLYX) tokens are a version of LUKSO tokens, known as LYX, adapted for the Ethereum network. These tokens are created through the LUKSO SigmaSwap bridge, enabling them to operate within Ethereum's ecosystem. This connection enhances versatility and interaction between the LUKSO and Ethereum networks.

What is a Wrapped LYX wallet?

A Wrapped LYX wallet is designed to store private keys necessary for operating a Wrapped LYX address. Direct possession of WLYX doesn't occur within the wallet; your WLYX actually exists on the blockchain. The wallet’s main job is to generate and hold these private keys, offering the ability to access and manage your WLYX accounts. Essentially, it's a tool for storing, sending, receiving, and overseeing Wrapped LYX.

How does a Wrapped LYX wallet work?

Wrapped LYX wallets utilize pairs of public and private keys to handle blockchain accounts. The private key is essential for accessing a specific WLYX account and must be kept confidential, while the public key is shareable for receiving WLYX. To move your funds, the correct private key is needed. Tangem Wallet specifically creates and holds these private keys within its secure chip.
