What is district0x (DNT)?

District0x is a unique network composed of decentralized and autonomous marketplaces and communities, collectively referred to as districts. These districts are constructed on a decentralized and open-source framework named the d0xINFRA network, operated by Ethereum smart contracts. The main aim of the district0x network is to foster a seamless virtual economy where users can easily buy, sell, and rate their peers. By embracing advanced entrepreneurial ideas, district0x aspires to create a flexible and liberated market.

What is a district0x wallet?

A district0x (DNT) wallet is designed to store private keys, which are essential for managing your district0x address. Although the wallet doesn’t hold DNT directly—since the cryptocurrency exists on the blockchain—it primarily serves to generate and maintain private keys, thereby allowing you access to your district0x accounts. Essentially, a DNT wallet is your gateway to managing, sending, and receiving district0x.

How does a district0x wallet work?

District0x wallets operate using pairs of public and private keys for managing blockchain accounts. It's critical to keep the private key secret, as it's your means of accessing a specific district0x account. Meanwhile, you can share your public key to receive DNT. To move funds, the corresponding private key is needed. Tangem Wallet excels at generating and securely storing these private keys within its chip.

What are the types of district0x wallets?

• Exchange DNT Wallets:
These wallets are often managed by centralized exchanges like Coinbase or Binance, facilitating the purchase of DNT using traditional currencies; however, they come with risks of losing account access.

• Software DNT Wallets:
These wallets, installed on personal devices, manage private keys and DNT. Although user-friendly, they can be susceptible to cyber threats. They encompass mobile, desktop, and browser versions.

• Mobile DNT Wallets:
Applications that permit the handling of DNT on smartphones.

• Desktop DNT Wallets:
Stored on computers, these wallets keep private keys on your hard drive or SSD.

• Hardware DNT Wallets:
Known for offline storage, options like Tangem provide protection against online risks.

How to Choose the Best district0x Wallet

Choosing the best wallet is a personal decision and depends largely on what you prioritize—whether it's ease-of-use, reliability, security, or longevity. For safeguarding substantial amounts of cryptocurrency offline from potential online threats, a hardware wallet such as Tangem is advisable.
