What is Decimated (DIO)?

Decimated takes place in a dystopian future where society has crumbled. Players navigate a gritty cyberpunk universe, engaging in roles and missions ranging from scavenging to transporting goods and escorting VIPs. Within this world, participants can trade resources—both legitimate and under-the-table—go on hunts for mythical creatures, seize control of territories, and construct fortified refuges for gang operations. This innovative game has earned praise, winning Best Game at the Kiev Games Conference 2019 and the Global Games Pitch 2022.

What is a Decimated wallet?

A Decimated wallet is essential for managing private keys linked to your DIO address, though the wallet itself doesn't store DIO; the cryptocurrency is stored on the blockchain. This wallet's main role is to generate and safeguard your private keys, thus facilitating the management of your DIO account. Essentially, a Decimated wallet is your gateway to storing, sending, receiving, and organizing your DIO tokens.

How does a Decimated wallet work?

Decimated wallets utilize a cryptographic pair of keys—public and private—to manage blockchain accounts. While the private key is crucial to accessing your specific DIO account and should be kept secret, the public key is shareable for receiving DIO. To retrieve your cryptocurrency, you need the private key. The Tangem Wallet safely generates and stores these keys within its secure hardware chip.

What are the types of Decimated wallets?

• Exchange Decimated Wallets:
Platforms such as Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken provide custodial wallets for purchasing DIO with fiat money. These wallets come with the risk of losing access should any issues arise with the exchange.

• Software Decimated Wallets:
These are installed on electronic devices to manage your DIO and its private keys. User-friendly but susceptible to cyber threats, they come in mobile, desktop, and browser variants.

• Mobile Decimated Wallets:
Apps designed for managing your DIO directly from your smartphone.

• Desktop Decimated Wallets:
Specific applications installed on your PC that store private keys on its hard drive or SSD.

• Hardware Decimated Wallets:
These offline devices, like Tangem Wallet, provide robust security against digital attacks.

How to Choose the Best Decimated Wallet

Choosing a wallet revolves around personal needs, focusing on user-friendliness, security, and reliability. For vault-like security and long-term DIO storage, consider opting for a hardware wallet, such as those offered by Tangem.
