  • Analyze price performance and trends

How can I view market data for a token?

To access this data, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app and log in to your wallet.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Search tokens or pull the search bar upwards.
  3. In the Search tokens line, find the cryptocurrency you need by name, ticker, or contract address.
  4. Select the cryptocurrency from the list.

What metrics are available in the Market section?

After selecting a cryptocurrency, you'll have access to the following information:

  1. Current price and 24-hour change: Cryptocurrency prices update every minute, showing the current price and its change over the past 24 hours. Prices for tokens with a market capitalization of less than 100,000 USD are updated every 15 minutes.
  2. Price chart: You can analyze the cryptocurrency's price changes over various periods: 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or the entire history of the cryptocurrency.
  3. General information: A brief overview of the cryptocurrency, including key project details.
  4. Insights: This section includes the following metrics for the selected period (24 hours, 7 days, 1 month):

    • Experienced buyers: Buyers with at least 100 outgoing transactions.
    • Holders: Changes in the number of token holders during the selected period.
    • Liquidity: Changes in the available liquidity for the token.
    • Buy Pressure: The difference between the volume of buyers and sellers.

Moralis, a Web3 development platform, provides the data in this section, updated every two hours. Insights are available only for cryptocurrencies on EVM-compatible networks.

  5. Security score: A metric that assesses the security level of a blockchain or token based on various factors and is compiled from Moralis, Certik, and Cyberscope.
  6. Metrics: This section allows you to evaluate key indicators for the cryptocurrency market.
  7. Market capitalization: The total market value of the cryptocurrency, calculated by multiplying the current coin price by the total circulating supply.

    • Market rating: The cryptocurrency's rank among all coins by market capitalization.
    • 24-hour trading volume: The total amount of cryptocurrency sold in the last 24 hours, indicating market activity and liquidity.
    • Fully diluted valuation: The theoretical total value of the cryptocurrency if all possible coins were in circulation, including those not yet issued.
    • Circulating supply: The total number of coins available for trading and in circulation.
    • Total supply: The maximum number of coins or tokens that can ever exist for the selected cryptocurrency.

Data for these indicators is sourced from CoinGecko and is updated every minute.

  8. Price performance: This section helps assess price fluctuations and compare the current value with its peaks and lows over the selected period (24 hours, 1 month, or the cryptocurrency's entire history). After choosing the time frame, the minimum price is displayed on the left and the maximum on the right. A blue line shows the current price, while a gray line represents the highest price over the selected period.
  9. Available exchanges: This section contains a list of trading platforms where this cryptocurrency can be bought and sold.
  10. Links: This section includes links to the project's official website, documents, social media, repository, and other related resources.

What actions can I perform from the Market section?

In Market, you can also:

  • Stake tokens. Learn more about staking in the Tangem app in our blog article.
  • Turn on Yield Mode to earn extra income on stablecoins. Learn more about yield mode in our blog article.
  • Copy your wallet address. Tap your wallet name in the My Portfolio section, then select Receive.
  • Send, buy, sell, or exchange cryptocurrencies. If you have multiple wallets, tap your wallet name in My Portfolio to access these operations.

How can I sort cryptocurrencies in the Market section?

You can sort tokens based on various criteria:

  • Rating — cryptocurrencies categorized by market capitalization
  • Trending — cryptocurrencies that are currently gaining traction
  • Experienced Buyers — cryptocurrencies purchased by seasoned investors
  • Top Gainers and Top Losers — cryptocurrencies with the highest growth or decline over the selected period (24 hours, 7 days, or 1 month)

Regardless of the sorting method, the cryptocurrency's rank, current price, and market capitalization are displayed beneath its name. Changing the time period (24 hours, 7 days, or 1 month) affects the price growth or decline percentage and the chart.

Why don’t I see tokens in the Market list?

By default, the Market list includes cryptocurrencies from CoinGecko with a market capitalization above $100,000. To view tokens with a lower market cap, scroll to the end of the list and select Show tokens.

What data providers are used in the Market section?

CoinGecko provides the cryptocurrency list and all related data, except for the Insights block, where the information comes from Moralis. Detailed information on how CoinGecko calculates and evaluates various metrics can be found at: https://www.coingecko.com/en/faq.

What is News in Tangem Wallet?

The News section is a built-in crypto news stream inside Tangem Wallet. It helps you stay informed about market events and understand the context behind price movements without leaving the app.

How is news selected and generated?

Tangem Wallet aggregates crypto news from the NewsData.io provider and processes it using an AI-based system. Instead of reposting articles from a single source, the app generates an original summary only when the following conditions are met:

  • At least 4 independent sources have published similar information
  • Articles are analyzed within a 10-hour window

If there are fewer than 4 matching sources within a 10-hour window, the article is not generated or shown in the feed.

The Trending Score shows how actively a topic is being discussed across crypto media.

  • Scale: 0 to 10
  • Calculated based on the number of publications

Higher scores indicate topics that are gaining attention faster.

What does the time shown next to a news article mean?

The time displayed next to a news article shows when the article was generated by AI, not when the original sources were published.

This timestamp reflects the moment when enough data from multiple sources was collected and analyzed, and the AI-generated summary became available in the app.

How are news articles categorized?

Articles are categorized by:

  • Related tokens
  • Topics and themes

Each supported token also has its own dedicated news feed with up to 10 token-specific articles.

When you tap See all, the app opens the full News feed, where you can сhoose a specific topic and read all news articles related to that topic.

Can I navigate between articles?

Yes. You can swipe left or right to switch between topics and individual news articles.

What happens to news I’ve already read?

Read articles automatically appear in a muted (greyed-out) style.

What does the Like button do?

The Like button is used for internal analytics. Likes are not saved or linked to your wallet.

The Related News section shows what publications were used to generate the AI-based summary.

Can I share news with others?

Yes. You can share news articles externally.

If the recipient does not have Tangem Wallet installed, the article will open in a web version.

Is the news content investment advice?

No. News content in Tangem Wallet is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial or investment advice.

What is Market Pulse?

Market Pulse provides quick-action shortcuts to the Market section that let you instantly move from news to trading or other relevant actions inside the app.

It allows you to instantly view:

  • Top Gainers and Top Losers — cryptocurrencies with the highest growth or decline over the selected period (24 hours, 7 days, or 1 month)
  • Experienced Buyers — cryptocurrencies purchased by seasoned investors
  • Rating — cryptocurrencies categorized by market capitalization
  • Trending — cryptocurrencies that are currently gaining traction

Tapping See all opens the full Market section with the selected sorting.
